Antioxidants

?There are many vitamins and minerals that exhibit antioxidant properties. For example: -Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E etc. Leafy green vegetables and fruits are the best source of antioxidants Fresh green vegetables and fresh fruits supply antioxidants in our body. It aids by strengthening the immune system to ward off and fight against various ailments. Antioxidants are good for health as they prevent formation of free radicals. Free radicals adversely affect our health by destroying healthy cells and trigger the cell aging process. Free radicals are extremely harmful as they cause irreparable damage to cells. They can be formed in our body by exhaust fumes, radiation, excess exposure to sunlight, smoking, some drugs, and rigorous exercise without proper nourishment, stress and anomalous metabolism. The free radicals once generated destroy the healthy cells, which fasten the cell aging process. Body becomes susceptible to advanced aging, cancer, and degenerative diseases like arthritis and cardiovascular disease
?Our body has a natural mechanism of producing and sustaining antioxidants, which can  prevent our cells from damage. Fruits and leafy green vegetables contain certain substances, which are antioxidants or have antioxidant properties. Antioxidants can be obtained from supplements such as Vitamins C and E, Selenium and Phytonutrients such as beta-Carotene, lycopine and lutein etc.
?Antioxidants are plentiful in tea. Certain studies have proved that more cups of black or green tea consumed, minimize the risk of developing cancer of ovary.
?Antioxidants have a protective effect in ailments such as heart disease and cancer by reacting against the damage induced by free radicals. Antioxidants slow down the aging process.
